The Naissance of LIVE ON

Back in June, an I idea came back to me based on the issues facing our country, particularly the renewed intensity of the Black Lives Matter movement. The essential catharsis regarding race that America has needed has never been completely intextricable from other issues that require empathy, love and following the tenets of equality espoused in our America's founding documents. Since, morality or the lack there of, also guides all other endeavors, the cries for justice, are necessary to both save our country from a race based implosion and to rein-stile a level of morality that might make the notion of a 'shining city on a hill' more than an apparition or a delusion or exceptionalism.

These efforts should and will continue. As the spotlight moves between news cycles, necessary change is still trying to push its way through and the change agents are bearing the weight, too many times, while continuing to watch people die in the streets by the brute force they are simultaneously trying to put in check on through accountability. The chants and slogans of protest should have increasing resonance, in the face of frustration, and they should and will continue also.

In June 2020, the idea of the phrase ‘LIVE ON’, became a blog to speak out on these and other issues. It became a way to look forward to a time in the struggle for peace and justice where those people and issues which are seemingly bound to the constant struggle, can relax just a little, be normal and strive versus struggle to survive. 'LIVE ON' carries an implicit hope that we will solve the problems of Black Lives and many other lives, in order to create a sustainable future, a way for the world to LIVE ON together in peace.

I have introduced a 'LIVE ON' line of T-shirts to my brand, 'TOGETHER: We Are The Sign Of Peace', in an effort to diversify necessary the messaging of the movement and help transition what is now a demand for equality into an accepted norm. I look at this as positively affirming a hopeful outcome. Featured here are several examples of the LIVE ON Series, with more available on my website.

I dedicate them to uniting in LOVE, to begin to LIVE ON.

T-shirts start at $17 for Youth and $20 for Adults
